APD Privacy Statement
 
APD is dedicated to giving you a voice in your organisation in a safe and anonymous way.Your participation and feedback are very important to us. Accordingly, we encourage your input and have drafted a privacy statement to try to reassure you that your personal information is very important to us and we will do our utmost to act ethically and protect your privacy. If you have any concerns after reading the privacy statement - please contact us. Thus, we advise that the privacy statement is a dynamic document that attempts collected about them and how it will be stored and used.

1. APD will collect and hold background information as respect to being able to identify group level data in an organisation. The information will be provided to clients on a group level only, in accordance with contractual arrangements and will form a part of on-going assessment for benchmarking purposes.
2. The client base may be used to send out promotional materials advising relevant APD services and products. Participants may also be offered networking opportunities with APD Leaders Forum.
3. Information will be stored in an appropriately secure environment in accordance with statutory record keeping as required by governments in countries in which APD operates.
4. We will never share your information with a third party without your consent or according to legal requirements.
5. Testimonials may be used and the contributor has the option to remain anonymous or be identified by name and/or organisation.
6. Clients may contact APD to correct errors in personal information about themselves or have information removed, except in the circumstances where statutory requirements compel retention of the same.
7. All consultants used by APD are required to read this statement and sign a declaration attesting to their understanding and acceptance of the principles contained herein.
8. The website will record the number of visits, time and date of visit for statistical purposes.
9. The Site retains the e-mail address of people who send e-mails through the "Contact Us" facility for the purpose of sending a response. These contact details are held securely and will not be disclosed to a third party without your consent.
10. If you publish personal information on APD forums accessible by others the information is deemed public for the purposes of consent.
11. While reasonable care is taken to protect your privacy you should note that there are inherent risks in transmitting personal information via the internet and you need to make your own decision as to whether or not to use the website.
12. If you click on links to another website this privacy statement does not apply.
13. We share aggregated non-personal information (for example benchmarking data from surveys) with third parties outside APD.
14. We will provide access to your data subject only to such conditions and processes that are reasonable in the circumstances, conveniently, without unreasonable delay and without cost, providing identity authentication is supplied.
15. You undertake: 
  a. Not to seek access for frivolous purposes, or unreasonably frequently.
  b. To accept that deletion of some data may not be consistent with the provision of particular services by APD to you.
  c. Not to seek or use data that may harm APD's commercial interests.

 

Other Privacy FAQs 

Why does it ask me to identify my work unit?
The purpose of the survey is to gain a snapshot of how things are in your workplace. Therefore the survey will ask you where you work. The survey will provide a drop-down menu for you to select your workplace . Where a workplace is six (6) people or less the results for will be combined with another work unit to maintain your confidentiality and anonymity .

 

Is the survey confidential and anonymous?
YES!
At no stage will you be asked to give your name. In the survey, you'll be asked to nominate your workplace and the type of work you're involved in. You will also be asked about other demographic (or background) information such as your age, gender and years of service etc.

This statistical information will allow the administrators to report comparisons such as of:

  • Job Satisfaction of administrative staff and engineers ,
  • Intention to Quit for people who've worked here for more than 5 years
  • males and females on attitudes to Work/Life Balance
  • Morale in one workplace versus another
  • and so on .

Every completed questionnaire is important in building an accurate picture of your workplace!
